Happy Birthday Maggie Rose {CHAMBERSBURG, PA CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER}

This little girl is superlicious cute and the most verbal cutie patootie I know for age 2. If I would be asked to describe her I would have to say she is determined, funny, verbal, happy, smiley, and smart as a whip!  I love Maggie!! Her Mom and I are friends so it was fun to follow her around and capture her silliness...and boy does this girl love a popsicle!!

Crazy Cute Part Duex

Maddox was crazy cute and I just had to post more photos from his session! This boy can smile and when he does, boy oh boy does he just melt your heart!!

Crazy Cute Boy

This little boy was so so so cute! His mother contacted me on a referral and after rescheduling several times due to the lovely spring weather, we finally found a beautiful day to photograph his cuteness. He loved bubbles, he loved standing in the grass, he did not love sitting in the grass, but we managed to get him to laugh, smile and giggle, ALOT! Maddox also had a great time exploring the fence and playing with the fire truck while we kept gushing over how adorable and cute he was! I loved taking this smiley little guy's photo. Happy First Birthday Maddox!!!  Enjoy!

We Are Family

I just love this family...the kids really had a good time being photographed and the hub was a jokester and I enjoyed the sarcasm. Mom and Dad really love each other, ALOT, and it was total fun to watch them tease and taunt one another while hugging and kissing all the while. And check out this handsome senior high guy, what a smile!

A boy named Benj

It's a great compliment when a friend asks you to photograph her child. This little guy is 3 and I've known him and his two big brothers their entire lives! My Oliver is the same age as Benj and their siblings are about the same too. They've grown up together at chuch and are all friends. I love Benj's smile and his quiet nature, he is such a wonderful little boy with a nice disposition. He cracked me up with his little smiles here and there while we played some games while taking photos. He is a cutie for sure!!

Sweet Sofia {CHAMBERSBURG, HARRISBURG, HAGERSTOWN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER}

A very good friend of mine had a baby girl in January. I was anxious to photograph her sweetness! She was very cooperative and fell asleep at the end of our session. We played with many different poses and she was overly agreeable with each one! Of course my favorite is of her Mama kissing her...what love...

The Cutest Little Family

I had the pleasure of meeting this family from my very first client's referral and they are just the cutest little family ever! I love their adoration and love for their daughter and they always seem so happy when they are together! I was excited to take some family photos of them and have some fun on the beautiful grounds of Wilson College (my alma mater, class of '94 thank you very much!) I love capturing little one's joy as Daddy flys them in the air, these are some of my faves...

My Three Sons

My old neighbor had a beautiful baby boy recently...her third. I know she was really hoping for a little girl, but as luck would have it, she is destined to be the 20th Century version of My Three Sons (and she's totally thrilled of course). Her baby Benjamin is just adorable and so sweet. He looks like his big brothers but is very different in his own way. I enjoyed visiting her and spending some time capturing this little boy's cuteness. Of course he didn't want to cooperate and he didn't like being naked but he really loved being cuddled and kissed by his Mama.

Third Times a Charm {CHAMBERSBURG, PA MATERNITY & NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER}

This lovely lady was just a few weeks shy of giving birth to her third blessing (a beautiful baby girl). She looked absolutely amazing! I loved photographing her, she was a natural model and we had a blast taking these photos. She is also a photographer and we've been fortunate to be able to share with our another our knowledge and skills while also growing our friendship and our faith in Christ. I"m very lucky to have her friendship and so glad I had the opportunity to capture some memories she will not want to forget. Stay tuned for some photos of beautiful baby Miriam!

Baby B

Baby B was born on a beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was just gorgeous outside. I tested out my hospital session with my friend and visited her bedside to capture these sweet first moments. Truthfully, I was hating her because she looked absolutely gorgeous! I remember being plumped up, fat face and not photogenic at all after my c-sections! She just looked beautiful, as you can see...and the baby adorable! And check out the matching jammies! Doesn't that make you want to have another? Love it!

C is for Charmer

This adorable little Miss was a complete Charmer! She definitely has Mommy and Daddy wrapped around her finger, and why not, she is just so cute!!

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge {Sun Flare}

I've been following this blog http://www.iheartfaces.com/ and I just am totally in love with it. Whatever level of photographer you are, amature, mamarazzi or professional, it's a great way to learn more tips and tricks and see the dazzling and amazing photos taken by an array of talented individuals. I just love it!!

Every week they have a photo challenge and this week it caught my eye because the challenge is sun flare. Sun flare photos top my favorite type to click. I love the effects of sun and light on each photograph. No matter what angle you shoot you always get a different effect. Here is my entry...it was the eve of New Year's Eve and my son and his friends, friends he has known since the 4th and 5th grade, were hanging out getting ready for their party. I love this photo because it really shows the bonds of friendship and how genuinely happy they are to be together.

This baby girl was absolutely adorable and amazing. She didn't smile much but she was so attentive and interested in having her photo taken. She is sweet and such a blessing! It was fun to spend an hour with her.

I've known this young lady since she was a little girl. She is an awesome volleyball player and a beautiful young lady inside and out. She loves kids, animals, purses and UGG boots! It was a fun but grey Friday afternoon when we went out into the snow to photograph her fun whimsical side! Hello and Welcome to Capture Photography by Julie Showalter. I'm super excited to share my passion of photography with you! I've put alot of time and consideration into deciding to move forward with my passion and turn it into a professional business. In doing so I've been busy preparing the 'business' side of my endeavor while photographing a few awesome people who have so graciously allowed me to dress up their babies, make their children laugh and showcase a special young lady who is absolutely beautiful inside and out. If you are reading this I'm so grateful for your interest and support. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and this certainly is not, but I'm confident that with God I will be able to follow my passion and share my talent with those who give me the privilege.
